We created Viking drama with Mrs Hazell this morning.
In after school club it was such a beautiful afternoon we enjoyed playing with the ‘change 4 life’ games.
Homework link- ask permission before you go on YouTube & learn our song for our World Book Day Assembly.
Miss Ibotson and Mrs Campo have been super impressed by Badgers today…
We worked on columnar addition this morning and showed our strategies to each other. One group worked on their mental strategies and we all worked so fast our teacher couldn’t keep up with her marking- this means much more challenging work is coming our way!
Amazing Viking newspaper reports are beginning to be written. ‘ swiftly and silently ‘ was one of our favourite descriptions by Grace T. of how the longboats travelled through the water.
This afternoon we began our new science topic and categorised living things. Our great teamwork was rewarded by lots of Dojo points and we explored habitats outside.
Our phonics and grammar group are focussing on silent letters this week. Look how many we have thought of.
We had a great start to our half term with our Viking display and one lucky year 3 came in to tell us all about her Blue Peter badges!
Mrs Saifon Ibotson came to tell us all about the Buddhist religion. We learnt about the story of Buddha, how Buddhists live their lives and festivals they have. The water festival looked really fu, especially being squirted by elephants!
Some of us practiced meditation but Mrs Ibotson said that we should do it silently!
